My psychotherapy approach

I am dedicated to helping clients gain greater clarity and awareness of what they truly want in their lives, discovering any barriers in their way and then overcoming those barriers to live a more vibrant, joyful and fulfilling life.  My therapeutic approach is, compassionate, non-judgmental, supportive and collaborative.  We will work together, like two explorers, to discover the obstacles in your way of true happiness.  Through exploration and deep inquiry we will reveal any negative thought and behavior patterns, limiting beliefs, challenging emotions and reactions, relationship and intimacy issues, unfulfilling career path, unresolved places of stuckness as well as life stressors, in order to determine the barriers.  Once these are clear to us, we can take the next step which is to develop a new way of thinking, behaving, and coping with any challenging emotions, and making choices, that allows a more consistent way for you to live the life you truly love. This new way will not ignore the current methods of coping and living mindfully that already are working.  We will integrate those current methods with new ones, replacing the maladaptive ways of living that have been inhibiting your healing, growth, or happiness.

In my experience with clients, I have witnessed this exploration leading to transformation.  Clients develop a deeper understanding and clarity of the way they operate and a more solid whole relationship with themselves that is self-accepting and self-loving.  Clients become more aware of the choices they have in each moment.  Helping clients to access these states of clarity, self-discovery and empowerment is a true honor.
