Nutritional Counseling
As a Holistic Nutritional Counselor, I have studied all the major dietary theories and will work with you to find new healthy ways of living that are realistic for you and that will take root in your everyday life.
My approach does not focus on calories, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, diet restrictions and lists of healthy and unhealthy foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.
No one diet works for everyone
Each of us is very unique in our body type, our digestive health, our activity level, our food sensitivities and allergies, the amount of stress we experience in our lives, how we manage that stress, and our emotional regulation capabilites. So, just as no one style works for everyone, there is also no one diet that works for all of us! Some people do great on a purely vegan diet, eating no animal products. But others thrive only when they eat animal protein. We will spend time exploring and experimenting to discover exactly which foods are best for you and bring you to your healthiest potential.
Holistic Nutrtion
I work holistically with clients, acknowledging the important role that all aspects of life play in overall wellbeing. This may include support with personal relationships, career and financial stressors, or any other area that is off balance. Often food comes secondary to the nourishment off the plate that sustains us, such as relationships, career, physical exercise, and connection with nature.
