Thank you for visiting my site.  I appreciate the courage and dedication it takes to search for resources to assist you in your life at this point.  We each benefit from having people in our lives to help us see our "blind spots", the areas that we are unaware of in our thinking, behaviors and actions, and who are able to support us to do what is needed so that we can develop more self-awareness, and experience growth and transformation.  My work as a therapist, and nutrition counselor, is to offer guidance in a supportive space, to help you access your own inner resources to live a more vibrant and fulfilling life, with less stress and struggle.  I invite you to explore my website to learn more about me and my services.  And please contact me with any questions, or to set up a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation with me.

Wishing you whole health and happiness,

Karen

An Integrative Approach To Psychotherapy in Boulder, Colorado

My integrative or whole-person approach, draws from contemplative psychology and mindfulness–based approaches, holistic health and nutrition and relational psychotherapy, to support clients towards self-awareness, transformation, growth and optimal health.  Psychotherapy and nutritional counseling services are offered for individual adolescents and adults, couples and families.  In addition to services offered in my North Boulder office, I also offer both video and phone sessions.

A “whole-person” approach is one that sees the importance of health and healing on all levels: emotional, physical, mental and spiritual, with the goal of helping clients develop a healthier relationship between body and mind.  During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn about yourself and the choices that you have available to you and how to access your innate knowledge of what you need to reach your personal goals and live a more fulfilling and vibrant life.

Through my years of working with clients and living life in general, I have come to truly understand that each of us has the capacity to change, to heal and to grow.  And, simultaneously, we also each have barriers that prevent this growth.  In a nurturing and gentle way, I challenge my clients to do the work that is necessary to move beyond their barriers.  So how do we break through our barriers?  A good place to begin is to ask yourself: "What keeps me from true happiness and living the life I truly love?"  Transformation begins with awareness.  My client's and I work together to help them develop deeper and clearer awareness of both what they truly want in their lives, and what is in the way.  What would a barrier in my life look like, you might be wondering.
